Respect Life Speaker- Tuesday, October 23rd 6:30 pm -8:00 pm
Death, the final experience every one of us will have on earth, is a reality. Jesus shows us that at death, however, life is changed, not ended. In his suffering, death and resurrection, Jesus revealed that death no longer has the last word. In Christ, we have sure and certain hope of our own bodily resurrection. Still, questions and concerns about death may be unsettling, intimidating, and even avoided.
Who will speak for me if I cannot speak for myself?
How can I make sure the decisions made about my health care are morally right? These are questions being asked with increasing frequency.
To assist Catholics of the state who wish to have an advanced directive, the Minnesota Catholic Conference, composed of the Catholic Bishops of Minnesota, has prepared a Catholic health directive that meets the state’s legal requirements and reflects the Church’s teaching and recommendations of Church, health care and community leaders.
To get a copy of this Catholic health care directive and to learn more about completing your own directive join us on Tuesday, October 23, 2018-6:30-8 pm.

BABY BOTTLE CAMPAIGN THANK YOU!
We would like to thank the parishioners of St. Joseph for the incredible generosity you shared with Pregnancy Choices through the financial gifts collected in the baby bottle drive. It was a great blessing to see your commitment and dedication to life, and to receive this great kindness to support our work of our ministry. Through your generosity $4244 was raised to date which allows us to provide much needed items for moms and babies.
God Bless you all and know that we continue to pray for the good work at St. Joseph’s. You are our partners in this life affirming work. If you are interested in learning more, please contact us see info below...
In humble gratitude,

Everyone loves the beauty and innocence of a baby. As
an expression of that love, St. Joseph Church announces a spiritual adoption
program for young and old alike. The members of St. Joseph’s parish family will
have the opportunity during the weekends of Oct. 1 & 2, and 8 & 9, to
“spiritually” adopt a child who is newly conceived this month.
Not all newly conceived babies are allowed to be born.
In fact, more than 4,000 babies lose their lives to abortion each day. It is
these babies you are being asked to “adopt”. You may “adopt” a child
individually or as a family by signing up during the first 2 weekends in
October. Here is what will happen after you “adopt” your baby:
1) You will be asked to name the child
for whom you will be praying, thereby giving the baby the humanity he or she
2) You will be asked to pray for your
unborn child and for all unborn children, for the power of prayer is great.
3) You will receive monthly reports
through the parish bulletin describing your baby’s development and your child
will be born in July.
There are millions of unborn babies desperately in need
of your prayers. Please consider “spiritually adopting” a baby and share the
love for life that God has given you.
