Catechesis of the Good Shepherd

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) embraces Maria Montessori’s vision and is a program designed to help children fall in love with the Good Shepherd. Children learn about the Mass, vestments, liturgy, and stories from the Bible.

During the 2019-2020 school year, St. Joseph Community will offer Level I, II, & III. Level I is for children age 3-Kindergarten (PreK-K) and meets on Sunday mornings at 8:15am & 10:15am as well as will be offered on Tuesdays at 4:15pm. Level II is for grades 1-3 and meets on Wednesday evenings at 4:15pm & 6pm (children must have Level 1 experience prior to being in Level 2 or special permission in order to enroll). Level III will be offered beginning in the 2019-2020 school year and will be on Tuesday evenings at 6pm.

We are also blessed to be able to offer the CGS program during the school day for our youth enrolled in the Pre-School and Kindergarten classes at St. Joseph School.
