St. Joseph Community is excited to launch a new Confirmation Sacramental preparation program starting in the fall of 2019 (for a Spring 2020 Confirmation). Teenagers in 10th Grade (2019-2020 school year) will prepare for their reception of the Sacrament as a part of their Wednesday evening faith formation programming (7pm-8:30pm). In addition to the Wednesday evenings, Confirmation Candidates will also partake in a retreat, service/volunteer components, and guided discussions with their chosen sponsor. The first Wednesday of every month will be an opportunity for Family Formation with guest speakers to further enhance the preparation and deepen the faith.
For those enrolled in a Catholic High School, attendance at the normal Wednesday night faith formation programming will be encourage, but not required. Candidates for Confirmation who attend a Catholic High School will still be required to attend the first Wednesday of the month Family Formation nights (6:30pm-8:00pm), a retreat, complete service opportunities, and be in discussion with their sponsor.
Confirmation Mass will be: Monday, May 4, 2020, at 7pm at the Cathedral of St. Paul.
For those already registered for Confirmation Preparation, click here to go to the Confirmation 2019-2020 webpage where you can find forms and sign-up for a retreat.
St. Joseph Community will host two all-day retreat opportunities during the 2019-2020 school year. Candidates are required to attend a retreat as a part of their preparation process. If you are unable to attend one of these retreats, please contact us at Sacraments@StJosephCommunity.org
