Confirmation (Grade 9+)
The Sacrament of Confirmation calls young people to prepare their hearts and minds to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Through prayer, learning, and reflection, candidates deepen the faith they first received at Baptism and grow in their relationship with Christ and the Church. This preparation helps them understand the meaning of Confirmation, celebrated through the laying on of hands and anointing with sacred chrism by the bishop. By preparing thoughtfully, confirmandi are strengthened to live out their faith, accept their call to discipleship, and take an active role in the life and mission of the Church. Prerequisite: Enrollment and active participation in a Faith Formation Small Group program is required for all sacramental preparation.
